Q: How many types of product does SONITE have?
A: SONITE is divided into 3 product categories: Mosaics, Tiles, and Solid Surfaces.

Q: What are SONITE Mosaics?
A: SONITE Mosaics are crafted from the finest high quality resins to create one of a kind surface
decoration.  Each material in this line has its own unique appeal and conveys its own deep sense of
emotion in any area they are used.
SONITE Mosaics are also designed to be thinner and lighter than conventional ceramic or glass
mosaics without the fear of them breaking.  This allows them to be easily applied to any surfaces
including walls, countertops, or ceilings, an on many versatile surfaces such as glass, gypsum boards,
woods, cement, etc.  The relative thinness of SONITE Mosaics also allows it to be easily applied to
corners, curved areas, and edges neatly.

Q: How many SONITE Mosaics and Tile size do you have?
A: SONITE Mosaics start from 5 X 5 mm. up to 40 X 40 mm. with a thickness of 2 mm. These
mosaics are supplied on plastic sheets.
SONITE Tiles start from 1.5 X 1.5 inch up to 6 X 9 inch with a thickness of 3 mm. for tile.

Q: How do I install SONITE Resin Surface Covering?
A: SONITE Resin Surface Covering is installed in the same manner as general mosaics and tiles
using high quality mortar, thin-set, or cement.  For wet areas, we recommend an epoxy based
adhesive generally available for fixing tiles and mosaics.  For grouting, any high quality non-sanded
grout is acceptable.

Q: What is SONITE Solid Surface?
A: SONITE Solid Surface is a homogeneous blend of high grade resins and mineral fillers designed
to give a unique luxurious material that can be used as wall paneling, tabletops and countertops, or
even constructed into furniture.  Its nonporous structure gives it good resistance to stains and bacterial
growth that would normally affect real stone, especially in the kitchen, bathroom, and areas requiring
high sanitary standards.  SONITE Solid Surface is also chemically resistant and easy to clean.
One unique series in our solid surface line is the “Scapa” range.  It exemplifies our commitment
to innovation and design while at the same time being committed to the environment.  The four series
within the Scapa line – Dara, Modesta, Stellar, and Twinkle – contains up to 35% recycled materials.
Scapa presents an environmentally conscious material that still embodies high design standards and quality.

Q: How do I clean and care for SONITE Resin Surface Coverings?
A: SONITE is a very strong material and its beauty will last in definitely if handled and maintained
properly.  SONITE can best be maintained by periodic cleaning with a soft damp cloth or with some
soapy water if necessary.  Avoid the use of dry or gritty cloth that can irregularly scratch the surface.
Avoid heavy cleaning solvents or agents, especially ones containing abrasives. Never use kitchen scouring
compounds, acetone (finger nail polish remover), alcohol, gasoline, lighter fluid, chlorine bleach, lacquer
thinner, window cleaner or waxes.

Q: If my SONITE surface got scratched, what should I do?
A: Light scratches can easily be polished out with polishing compounds that you use for removing
scratches in your car. Be sure to test on a small area to see before polishing the entire surface.

Q: Are there anything else I should be aware of in using and installing SONITE surfaces?
A: You should keep the product away from direct sunlight, high heat and open flames. For applications
on wood or MDF, it is recommended to seal the surface with PVA based sealers.  The non- sanded grout
is recommended.  White colored adhesive is also recommended for use with translucent SONITE materials
to prevent color drops.  Additionally, for best results, be sure the surfaces to be covered are completely flat,
smooth and that all corners are perpendicular.  You should use caution as to not set curling irons, hot blow
dryer, clothing iron or candles directly on the surface.
